Who we are
We are committed to neutrality that is orientated towards peace and balance. It should enable Switzerland to continue to mediate constructively in future crises and conflicts. The neutrality initiative gives this form of neutrality new constitutional status and removes it from the arbitrariness of individual Federal Councillors.

Verena Tobler
Licentiate, mediator and organizational consultant (1944)
Teacher, then worked on refugee projects and in development co-operation in Baluchistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Cameroon and other countries.
1993 – 2002: Lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences for Social Work.
From 2003: Self-employed in questions of intercultural integration and conflict resolution for schools, authorities, social services, prison staff, etc. Independent, but has been committed to ecological and social issues for five decades.

Wolf Linder
Lawyer and political scientist (1944)
1974-1982: Member of the SP-
Group of the Thurgau
Cantonal Parliament and substitute judge at the cantonal court.
From 1982-2009: Professor at the Universities of Lausanne and Bern, specialising in Swiss politics. Mandates for the Confederation, cantons and communes. Expertise on democracy issues
in Nepal, Bhutan, Mozambique
and other countries in Asia and Africa.
2012-2019: Member of the
Swiss Science Council. Honorary doctorate from the University of St. Gallen.
